Mr. Orangey's - Orange Lemonade
Ingredients:
- 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
- 4 fresh orange slices, 1/2 inch thick
- 4 fresh lemon slices, 1/2 inch thick
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3 cups water
- 1/2 cup sugar
Instructions: (Makes 4 servings)
- Combine fresh-squeezed lemon juice, water and sugar, and blend well to dissolve sugar. Add fresh-squeezed orange juice.
- Mix well and chill.
- Place 1 orange slice and 1 lemon slice with ice cubes in a tall glass.
- Pour chilled Orange Lemonade over ice.
- Ready to serve.
Mr. Orangey's - Orange Float
Ingredients:
- 4 to 5 ozs. Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
- 1 segment Navel Orange
- Splash Lemon-lime soda
- 1 small scoop Sorbet/Sherbert, lemon, orange, raspberry, etc
- Whipped cream, as needed
- 1 Large 12 oz. glass frozen
- 1 Fresh Mint, sprig
Instructions: (Makes 1 serving)
- Fill the frozen glass with the chilled orange juice leaving room for soda and sherbert.
- Add a splash of the lemon-lime soda.
- Carefully add the scoop of sorbet/sherbert of choice.
Garnish with the segment of orange and the sprig of mint.
Mr. Orangey's - Soothing Smoothie
- 1 medium Navel orange, peeled, cut in chunks and frozen
- 1 cup milk or soy milk
- 1/2 medium banana, cut in chunks and frozen
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, canned in juice and frozen
- 1/2 tsp. coconut extract
To make one portion:
- Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Makes 2 servings
Mr. Orangey's - Citrus Fruit Icy
- 1 cup fresh-squeezed Navel orange juice (approx. 3-4 oranges)
- 1/2 cup fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice (approx. 1/2 grapefruit)
- 1/2 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice (approx. 2 lemons)
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 banana, peeled and sliced
To make one portion:
- Combine all ingredients in blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into glasses.
Makes 4 servings
Mr. Orangey's - Orange & Strawberry Frosty
- 1 Navel orange -juice
- 1/2 cup crushed ice
- 7 fresh or frozen strawberries
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 Navel orange cartwheel twist
To make one portion:
- In a blender, combine the ice, orange juice, 6 strawberries, and sugar; blend until smooth. Pour into a large champagne glass. Garnish with an orange cartwheel twist and a strawberry.
Makes 1 serving
Mr. Orangey's - Citrus Smoothie
- 2 Navel oranges --use 2 whole medium oranges
- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (approximately 4 oranges)
- 1 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
To make one portion:
- In a food processor or blender, blend all ingredients on high speed until smooth and creamy.
Makes 4 servings
Mr. Orangey's - Fresh Orangeade
- 4 cups freshly squeezed Navel orange juice
- 1 cup sugar
- Ice cubes as needed
To make one portion:
- In large pitcher, combine lemon juice and sugar; stir to dissolve sugar. Add orange juice. Serve in tall glasses over ice cubes.
- Garnish with orange and lemon cartwheel slices, if desired.
Makes 5 servings
Mr. Orangey's - Warm Winter Punch
- 1 Navel orange unpeeled, cut in half-cartwheel slices
- 4 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 cups pineapple juice
- 2 lemons -juiced
- 1 lemon unpeeled, cut in half-cartwheel slices
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 8 whole cloves
To make one portion:
- Place citrus slices in heat-proof bowl or large pitcher. In large saucepan, combine water, sugar and spices; bring to boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Add juices and heat. Do not boil. Pour over citrus slices; stir well.
Makes 10 servings
Mr. Orangey's - Sangria
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 1 bottle chilled dry white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc)
- 3 Navel oranges
- 2 cups chilled cranberry juice cocktail
- 2 cups chilled seltzer water
- 1 lime
PREPARATION: (Makes 10 servings)
Squeeze juice from 2 Navel oranges over sieve to catch pulp. Cut 1 orange and 1 lime into round slices. Place orange/lime slice garnishes into a 64 oz. glass pitcher. Pour white wine, cranberry juice, fresh orange juice, and seltzer water into pitcher. Stir and serve in wine glasses.
Mr. Orangey's Margaritas
- 1 lemon -juiced
- 3 oranges -juiced
- coarse salt
- 3/4 cup good tequila
- 3/4 cup triple sec liqueur
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 1/2 Navel orange, sliced in half cartwheel slices
To make one portion:
- Chill 4 stemmed glasses. Invert glass rims in coarse salt. In a blender, combine tequila, triple sec, orange and lemon juice and ice.
- Whirl until well blended. Pour into salt-encrusted glasses and serve immediately. Garnish with half cartwheel orange slices.
Makes 4 servings
Mr. Orangey's - Orange Caterpillar
- 1 as needed Navel orange, washed, peeled, chopped and seeded
- 1 ripe banana, peeled
- 2 tsp. creamy peanut butter
- Optional addition: pretzel sticks and grapes for antennas
To make one portion:
- Spread peanut butter on banana.
- Line up orange segments along top of banana to make the body of the caterpillar. Add antennas if desired.
- Slice segments to serve.
